Improved drying comes with the sanitize option; you can use it in combination with any cycle to heat the water to get rid of all bacteria. The heat also facilitates the drying process.

dishwashersguide tips animeThere are dishwashers out there that will out-perform this one, but not in this price range – actually not even close. Short Video Review

  1. I purchased model # SHP65T55UC and before I removed all the plastic wrap around the dish washer
I saw what looked like stamp marks that ran the entire length across the front door and around part of the sides. Then I opened the door to find water stains and standing water inside with what looked like mold from the moisture.
I was not happy at all.
I called Bosch and they would replace the door but I wanted them to replace the entire machine, they declined and referred me to the Lowes store I bought it at.

    • Hi Michael,

      So sorry to hear this….
This is why I always recommend buying from Amazon. You would have been better protected.
Also, let me tell you that there are not that many people complaining about Bosh customer care.
They usually are very professional and helpful…
They do have a point this time, the one to blame is the Lowes store.

Hope you’ll solve this and get a refund. Do write again and let us know how it went.

  2. Hi George,

Man I’m glad I’ve stumbled upon your website. I think I wasted days before I found your website, just to try and figure out what to get. When it comes to dishwashers there really are quite a few choices to consider…

Long story short, I read your review here of the Bosh 500 and I decided to get it – It was the best decision and investment ever – I love the thing, and now I’m wondering how in the world was I living without a dishwasher – it makes no sense…

Anyways, what I’m trying to say here is a Sincere Thank You.

    Stay well dude!

  3. My present dishwasher (Maytag) needs to be replaced. It is 33-1/2″ high. I need a dishwasher no taller than 32″. Can you help me?

    • That’s really not that case.
People who report that do not even go through the “trouble” of cleaning the unit itself.
Every few weeks the filters must be cleaned as a minimum maintenance. To be clear that’s a 1 minute job. Just remove them, wash and put them back.
I noticed some bad reviews out there – but most are from people that simply do not understand what a dishwashers is meat to do and expect wonders.

The Bosh 500 is still one of the best dishwashers out there no doubt about that!

  4. Just installed a SHX6565T55 to replace a leaky LG. There was an odour from water left in the tub I guess from factory testing since it was well wrapped in plastic. The build date was 3 months earlier. I wonder how much worse the odour would be after a year. It isn’t quite as quiet as the older LG but quiet enough. Cleans well. Dries okay. Could have used more folding options in the racks.

  5. Just bought this dishwasher . . . floor model . . . and got a fabulous deal. They were ready to roll out the ‘new’ models. Well, I’ve seen what replace it and it looks the same; I think just a couple of extra buttons…for a max price. So happy with this dwasher! Can you tell me do it have a leak detector? I thought I saw that somewhere but can’t remember.
